Get up and running with QuietNet DNS quickly by following our platform-specific setup guides.

What You'll Need

Before setting up QuietNet DNS, make sure you have:

  1. An active QuietNet account - Sign up if you don't have one
  2. Your API token - Available in your dashboard under Blocklists > Your DNS Settings
  3. Admin access to your device (for some platforms)

DNS Connection Types

QuietNet offers two types of encrypted DNS connections:

DNS over HTTPS (DoH)

  • Uses standard HTTPS protocol (port 443)
  • Works well through most firewalls
  • Supported on all major platforms
  • Your personal DoH URL: https://dns.quietnet.app/YOUR_API_TOKEN/dns-query

DNS over TLS (DoT)

  • Uses dedicated TLS protocol (port 853)
  • May have better performance on some networks
  • Not supported on all platforms
  • Your DoT server: YOUR_API_TOKEN.quietnet.app
  • IP address: 103.107.50.10

After Setup

Once you've configured QuietNet DNS:

  1. Verify your setup is working correctly
  2. Configure your blocklist preferences
  3. Monitor your blocking statistics in the dashboard
