Get up and running with QuietNet DNS quickly by following our platform-specific setup guides.
Choose Your Platform¶
What You'll Need¶
Before setting up QuietNet DNS, make sure you have:
- An active QuietNet account - Sign up if you don't have one
- Your API token - Available in your dashboard under Blocklists > Your DNS Settings
- Admin access to your device (for some platforms)
DNS Connection Types¶
QuietNet offers two types of encrypted DNS connections:
DNS over HTTPS (DoH)¶
- Uses standard HTTPS protocol (port 443)
- Works well through most firewalls
- Supported on all major platforms
- Your personal DoH URL:
https://dns.quietnet.app/YOUR_API_TOKEN/dns-query
DNS over TLS (DoT)¶
- Uses dedicated TLS protocol (port 853)
- May have better performance on some networks
- Not supported on all platforms
- Your DoT server:
YOUR_API_TOKEN.quietnet.app
- IP address:
103.107.50.10
After Setup¶
Once you've configured QuietNet DNS:
- Verify your setup is working correctly
- Configure your blocklist preferences
- Monitor your blocking statistics in the dashboard
